Bankruptcy Laws In New

There are new bankruptcy laws. In new laws, there are new steps that individuals must take in order to file bankruptcy in the United States. These laws, enacted in 2005, have a design to make it more difficult for individuals to file bankruptcy repeatedly and as such to stop some of the abuses of the system. One of the new requirements of this law is the requirement for those filing bankruptcy to receive a debtor education course prior to the discharge of the bankruptcy. This course must come from one of the qualified providers under the U.S. Courts. The goal of this course is to teach individuals how to be financially responsible. The course may be complete online for first time users but must occur in person in other cases.
