The bankruptcy proof claim form is one of several forms that are submitted to the bankruptcy court at the time of the case's filing. This particular form is required for any creditor filing a claim against a debtor. At the time of filing the bankruptcy, the debtor must provide asset and liability information to the courts. If the individual has assets, those assets may need sold to repay some or all of the debt owed. Creditors who would like to obtain payment from any of those assets must file a bankruptcy proof of claim form to do so. This outlines the debt, balance, creditor and other details of the bankruptcy court requires in an effort to repay the debt if possible. It is not often possible for all debts to receive repayment through this method.
