File Florida Bankruptcy

To file Florida bankruptcy, individuals and businesses must file a petition with their county bankruptcy court. Under Florida law, alimony, child support, most student loans, back taxes, fraudulent debts, fines or penalties from government agencies, large purchases of luxury goods over $550 purchased within 90 days of the filing and cash advances of $825 within the last 70 days may not be included. Florida bankruptcy law offers a homestead exemption of property that is no larger than ᄑ acre within a municipality. A motor vehicle with up to $1000 in equity may be available for retention. Voluntary liens such as mortgages and deeds of trust or tax liens are not included in bankruptcy. When you file Florida bankruptcy, you are able to keep unemployment, disability, social security and veteran's benefits. Alimony, retirement plans, life insurance, and some forms of personal property, professional property and business property is retainable.
