Fix Bad Credit

It is possible to fix bad credit. It is also possible to do so legally and above board. Bad credit is based, in part, by late payments or delinquent accounts. There are many other things, some surprising, which plays a role in bad credit including how many new credit accounts a person has or how many times their credit score has been checked in the last year. Basically, though, fixing bad credit is a matter of repaying it or reducing/erasing it. It may sound impossible, but it is not. Repaying it could be done through a legitimate consumer credit counselor who will work with the creditors to try to reduce payments that you eventually pay off in 3-5 years. Repaying it or erasing it can be done through filing bankruptcy. There are different bankruptcy laws and the rules are different for each of them. These are all legal and viable options to fix bad credit. The alternative is to live with the bad credit forever. With more and more companies, such as utility companies, checking credit ratings before offering service, bad credit isn't usually a good option. The important thing is to fix bad credit, not how you fix it, as long as it is done legally.
