When filing bankruptcy, what do i need to claim as income?

For over the past year, I have been working any odd jobs I can get, and working a number of part time jobs as well. However, it has not been enough to cover my outstanding debts from before my unemployment streak. Because of this, I am considering bankruptcy. What do I need to claim as income when filing for bankruptcy?

Filing for bankruptcy should be a fairly tedious undertaking for the debtor themselves, or for their hired legal aid if they chose to hire any. Precise documentation of all financial matters, such as income are vital for a successful bankruptcy procedure of both available, individual bankruptcy forms of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. All forms of income, from pensions and benefits to all interested earned must be accounted for in addition to the outright waged income.

These exact calculations of income are required when filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, as they determine whether or not the individual may file the petition at all, by passing or failing the “means test.” As long as their total monthly income is below the median of their state, they will pass to be eligible. However this test also includes their disposable income. This is determined by deducting one’s monthly living expenses from their total monthly income. If this income is deemed too high by the bankruptcy court,

Accurately documenting past, current and future earnings predictions are especially important when filing for Chapter 13 bankruptcy. This is because the basis of this bankruptcy form is formed through the debtor’s ability to maintain a consistent income. This income is used to arrange a fair and manageable repayment plan for all debts through the bankruptcy court, along with the creditors.
