What are the New 2009 Bankruptcy Laws for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy?

It’s my understanding that some new bankruptcy laws took effect in 2009 that may affect my upcoming Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing.  Do you know anything about these new 2009 bankruptcy laws?  Also, can I as an individual file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy petition online?

Please be advised that it’s never a good idea to try and make critical legal decisions on your own without first consulting with a practicing attorney. If you’re seriously thinking about filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy relief , you’ll definitely need to obtain a bankruptcy law attorney’s guidance and advice. In addition to explaining any 2009 changes in the law that may affect you, he or she can also educate you about the major overhaul of our U. S. bankruptcy laws that was enacted into law in 2005.
